Petro Geo Consult’s onsite wellsite geology team delivers continuous, real-time subsurface intelligence from the moment the bit breaks formation to the final total depth log run. Our geologists are embedded on the rig floor and in the mudlogging unit, integrating drilling parameters, cuttings analysis, gas chromatography, and LWD data into a coherent geological picture that drives faster, safer, better-informed drilling decisions. We operate across all major US unconventional basins and deploy on conventional exploration wells, appraisal programmes, and multi-well pad developments.

Wellsite geology is a discipline that demands rigorous real-time interpretation under operational pressure. Our geologists have an average of twelve years’ field experience and are trained to integrate multiple data streams simultaneously — mudlog, LWD gamma ray, resistivity, neutron-density, offset well correlations, and pore pressure indicators — to provide drilling engineers and company men with clear, actionable guidance on casing points, formation tops, bit optimisation, and wellbore placement. Every well benefits from a comprehensive post-well geological report that feeds into future drilling programmes and landing zone optimisation studies.
